REVIEWS :

1. Great food This Jaipur tour allowed us to taste the local food which we could have never found by ourselves. It is a pretty nice thing to do if you have a day or even half a day free. Some of the places we visited were so unique and hidden that we would have hard time finding them even if we had a guide book.
2. exploring the royal city I promised to write this review earlier but somehow could never write it sooner. Apologies for the delay. That being said, this tour was a great way to explore Jaipur city and taste some excellent food. The guides were experts about food as well as history of the region and it was an entertaining and informative experience.

I have taken several food walking tours in various cities, it is one of the things I like to do at the beginning of a trip to get oriented to a city and get insight into local cuisine. This was one of the best food tours I have ever done. It is clear that they are conscious of the concerns of travelers to India and provide hand sanitizer, hand wipes, a bottle of water, and a bag in which to carry them. The tour takes you through various places you would never find on your own or be confident to try on your own. It has you explore Old Delhi by foot and tuk tuk which is an adventure of its own. All of the food was interesting and I found virtually all of it delicious. The insight into flavors and food was really well done. I would highly recommend anyone with time in Delhi to take this tour. It would be good for families, individuals, couples, friends basically anyone who wanted to explore the city and the food.

2.Foodie Tour

Wow! This exceeded our expectations of a Delhi foodie tour. Loved that we opted for private tour, as our guide could cater the day our likes. Totally worth the small extra charge. Most importantly we experienced true Indian food and learned a bit about the history of Indian cuisine. Plus really experienced Old Delhi. Would recommend this to anyone visiting Delhi!

This is a great chance to sample the very rich regional cuisine. Additionally, we enjoyed the glimpses to daily life in sections od Delhi that are not easily accessible to tourists. We had a great time and the guide and experience were superb. We highly recommend the tour to those interested in cuisine and culture.

food walk in new delhi and old delhi

New Delhi & Old Delhi : 6 Hours Food Walk

If you want to experience some of the best Indian food available in Delhi city in about half a day, then choose this food walk. It is a perfect way to discover the old fashioned culinary delights available in Old Delhi as well the modern food culture of New Delhi in about 6 hours. You can expect to taste almost 20 different food items from about 9-11 different food shops located in Old Delhi and New Delhi both. This food walk covers everything that Food Walk In Old Delhi covers and then adds more to the experience. In addition to street food items like naan khatai, lassi, samosa, puri and others which are served in shorter food walk in Old Delhi, you can visit 2-4 more food shops in New Delhi for some snacks followed by a meal covering lunch or dinner.

There are a few meat dishes like saag chicken, tikka, included in the food walk but it can be made completely vegetarian if guests so desire. In a normal food walk like this, we visit Chandani Chowk, Khari Baoli (spice market), Chawari Bazar and a few others in Old Delhi on foot and rickshaw. After finishing up the food in Old Delhi we can go to Connaught Place, Barakhamba Road,  Dilli Haat and a few other places for more food. While a few food shops in New Delhi are not as old as those in Old Delhi, their food is as good if not better in most aspects. This food walk covers atleast two full meals of the day plus lots of snacks in between.

1. Not to be missed!! If you only have time for one tour in Delhi this has to be it! Not only do you get to see Old Delhi and New Delhi with an informative guide I sampled some of the best food I have had in India. Plenty of food and lots of variety. I highly recommend this tour.

2. Fantastic – a Must Do! We opted to be picked up at our hotel, which is worth the $. Delhi is a traffic nightmare and difficult to negotiate. We did this tour about 4 hours after landing in Delhi and having a time change of 12 hours! Good way to stay awake and see a lot of Old Delhi. The owner/tour guides are smashing! They provided a backpack with bottled water, wipes, sanitizer. Way to go!

3. talbotbrooks Great time in both Old Delhi and New Delhi. While the food was definitely the highlight of this trip, my guide was excellent company and the people-watching was off the charts. Give it a shot – you won’t regret. Guide took extreme care to make sure that what were eating was safe and that I didn’t have any food allergies.

The Jain fruit sandwich was surprisingly good, but then all the food was. Our guide had a plentiful supply of antibacterial gel and wipes, which he offered us at each establishment.Overall, well worth the money and a great way to see Old Delhi.
